Pendix gDrive - The drive for sustainable mobility

When designing the Pendix gDrive, we placed great emphasis on durability and sustainability: The modular design makes it easier to repair the system in order to extend its service life and avoid unnecessary waste. With the help of our extensive service network, a circular economy can be created. The components of the gDrive drive unit do not use composite materials that are difficult to recycle. The clever positioning of the motor and battery attachment points saves the bicycle manufacturer development effort and costs. The drive unit is manufactured in Pendix's own factory in Germany, which adheres to the highest environmental, labor and social standards. Particular attention is paid to the resource-saving use of raw materials and energy. We have most of the individual components produced in the plants of our affiliated company Johnson Electric, which means that production conditions can be controlled along the entire value chain. Johnson Electric relies on renewable energies and aims to reduce CO2 emissions in its plants by 42% by 2030.
